Seagame 250 CC, the sporty Italian fishing boat is available in a special edition

The Seagame 250 CC is a fishing boat that comes in a special edition with a less "fishing" layout to be more sporty and family oriented.

In the line of fire: the American Fishing

Seagame is an Italian builder - previously specializing in the upholstery of high-end Italian boats - and now at the helm of a range of 3 Sport Fishing models: 200, 250 CC, and a 270 with a deck on the bow. The avowed objective of the shipyard is to offer an alternative to the expensive American fishing boats such as Pursuit or Boston Whaler, with an equally high level of finish.

At the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle, two of the models in the range were exhibited, the Seagame 200 and the Seagame 250 CC, both in a special edition. Black gelcoat for the first one and limited edition "Spirit" for the second one, a less fishing, more sportive and familial layout, and a very automotive look with an electric blue gelcoat.

A special family edition

The 250 CC is an open hull of 7.57 m whose lines are rather aesthetic with this tuliped bow and a bulwark line evoking a wave going up on the front. Its central console makes it easy to move around the boat for fishing. Equipped as standard with three livewells and rod holders on the bolster, as well as a bait box, the Spirit edition differs somewhat. The latter was developed in collaboration with the shipyard, at the request of Sylvain Ortiz, French importer of the brand.

On the transom, there is only one livewell and the removable bench seat has been replaced by two bucket-style seats for comfortable cruising at full speed. An armrest with a USB port allows you to recharge your phone. Thigh rests installed in the bulwarks allow for comfortable fishing. Another addition, an electrically operated door with a swim ladder. This allows for easy retrieval of catches, but also for bathing in addition to the bathing ladder on the port side skirt. The fact that it is electric is also well thought out, because once filled with water, the door is very difficult to raise manually.

The kitchen cabinet remains in place, with a folding seat on the back, facing the sea. There is a sink and a cutting board. A refrigerator takes place on the side. In the front, the double bench seat has been replaced by two armchairs with armrests (which are a bit awkward to get out on the sidewalks) that face the nicely sized dashboard. The dashboard offers enough space for all the electronic equipment, but has a rather atypical layout. The steering wheel is not in front of a steering chair, but between the two chairs, which is not the most suitable for steering in our opinion.

A T-Top equipped with 4 rod holders and a ski pole tops the cockpit and the front bench seat. On the starboard side, it has a deck shower directly integrated into the structure to shower "as at home". If this solution is aesthetic and rather amusing, it will also tend to water the seats of the cockpit.

Finally, the front deck is very wide thanks to the bow shape and is easily accessible from the side decks. There is an imposing chaise longue bench that contains a very large storage box, in which you can easily stand. Ideal for storing all the cushions and tables. Finally, a rounded bench seat with backrest tops the bow. By adding a support and a cushion, you can also transform the front deck into a sunbathing area. All cushions - especially the backrests - are easily removed for storage.

A special package for the motorization

The Seagame 250 CC is equipped with a 450 hp Mercury Racing engine that gives it a top speed of 47 knots. But the importer tells us that a more moderate 200 hp is more than enough to reach 44 knots.

The 250 Spirit Edition as exhibited at the Grand Pavois is marketed at a price of 217,000 euros TTC and at a more reasonable price of 120,000 euros in the standard fishing range.
