The IC36 is a kind of sport catamaran declined in cruising version. It is 11 m long, but with its 2 daggerboards, it can beached without any problem. Light, 2.2 t in its basic version, it should also be very powerful.

To imagine it, this Independant Catamaran technical shipyard started from the fact that in long distance cruising, we spend most of our time at anchor. Only 25% of our travel time is spent sailing. So, why not think of a splendid platform for easy access to the water and living in the open air? Thus the IC36, can not receive a deckhouse and reserve just the 2 narrow hulls for the habitability. A version with a roof on the deckhouse and closing by tarpaulins is also available. This deckhouse can also accommodate solar panels.

Because it is another approach that this catamaran proposes, that of the autonomy and especially of the ecology. Indeed, the shipyard proposes an electric propulsion (Oceanvolt).

In addition to being light, this catamaran is also completely dismountable so that it can be transported on a trailer behind a light vehicle, or in a 40-foot container if you want to send it to the end of the world.

For the moment, this catamaran is offered in 3 versions starting at 291,000 euros ex VAT. But the shipyard can adapt it to the owner's needs. The first model should be sailing this spring. It was supposed to be presented to the public at the multihull show in La Grande Motte in May 2021, which was unfortunately cancelled.
