The Terrors of the Seas, an endearing comic book trio

This volume 1 marks the beginning of a new comic book series that follows a trio of children on adventures on the seas. For the start, they set off on the Hermione following the dreaded Englishman.

They're two brothers and a sister who aren't exactly socialites. The two younger ones are shipwreckers (they lure sailing ships to the coast so that they run aground and then plunder them) and the third one is a coward who manipulates people by hypnotizing them. When Arsene is captured by the English, Alix, his little sister and brother Germain manage to hijack the frigate Hermione, just out of the shipyard in Rochefort, to set their brother free.

Totally zany, this comic strip with a very modern pencil line launches us into imaginary adventures. However, we discover a part of the organization of sailing ships and how they function at sea. With a lot of humour, we become friends with Alix, the little moth that nothing can resist.

This action-packed adventure makes us want to find out what happens next. What will happen to our new heroes launched on the water? A comic book for everyone (with a little penchant for the youngest) that we can read with the family in the evening by the fire.
