On a boat, you can sleep as comfortably as you do at home! However, bedding is often the poor relation of our boats. Victoria Yachting, a French company that has been fighting for 30 years to offer the best in bedding to its clients, will advise you and make the mattress you need, so that you can spend comfortable nights on board. So much so that often, customers come back to them to replace the mattresses in the house as well!
1 - Tailor-made
Victoria Yachting's mattresses are made to measure. In a boat, the bed is rarely rectangular. It has to be adapted with curves, offsets, bias... Adapting the mattress is Victoria's core business. Each order is personalized for a specific boat. Of course, this can lead to some delay before delivery (count on average 6 weeks), but you are sure to have the mattress tailored for you.
2 - Products adapted to the nautical environment
In boats, moisture is mainly caused by condensation between the mattress and the board on which it is placed. Victoria Yachting has developed an anti-humidity and anti-condensation honeycomb underlay. This 1.5cm thick underlay is systematically integrated during the manufacturing process. It creates a layer of insulating air under the mattress and ensures good ventilation and prevents the formation of mould.
Each mattress is also covered with a ticking, to offer a soft and comfortable welcome.
3 - Better comfort than at home?
In order to offer the best mattress to its customers, Victoria Yachting questions and accompanies them. According to their requests and habits, they will be offered one of the 4 families: foam, latex, spring or shape memory. This "soul" of the mattress (included between the ticking and the honeycomb) which brings the comfort of the bed for a restful sleep.
All these characteristics make up the mattress. It will then be made to order by Victoria's teams. The mattress delivered will undoubtedly be thicker than the original foams of the boat (comfort being linked to thickness). But this is not at all a problem, as the extra thickness, by adapting to the shape of the hull, often even increases the width of the berth.
