Birdyfish, dinghy flight training accessible to all sailors

Sailing on an accessible foiler is the Birdyfish's winning bet. This small dinghy with a marotte takes off and flies without the need for a balancing crew. A perfect dinghy to discover the pleasure of flying.

Launched in 2019, the Birdyfish has now reached maturity. It must be said that the child was well born since it has hardly been modified since the first proto. This sailboat has been designed for sailing schools to offer them an easy, accessible and not dangerous dinghy to learn how to sail on a foil.

Set on her 2 J-foils which are always down during the whole navigation, the Birdyfish flies in as little as 10 knots of wind (8 knots when sailing single-handed). There is no incidence setting on the foils. It is the position of the crew that manages the boat's trim.

Anyone who knows how to dinghy, tack and gybe will be able to take off easily and safely on the Birdyfish. This boat is not physical, because you sail without a trapeze and without the need to abseil excessively. Well seated on an ergonomic hull, the helmsman and the crew can benefit from an extraordinary sensation.

If the wind is lacking, this foiler is designed to sail classically. Its sabre daggerboard allows it to go upwind.

With its fibreglass hull built in the Vendée and its carbon appendages in Nantes, the Birdyfish is available at 14,400 euros HT. A full option version (including a code Zero, a jib furler and a trailer) is available at 19,800 euros including tax. Aesthetic detail, the foils can be delivered in black or pink..
