A boat comfortable as a house
Owners and their guests can enjoy true privacy by making the most of the exterior thanks to an innovative and practical aft deck area and a spacious flybridge connected directly to the foredeck via the gangways.
The specifications of the boat are to offer a high level of comfort and well-being, both outside and inside. The slogan sums up the concept well: "Just Like Home" . The new boat is the result of the partnership between the Product Strategy Committee and the Engineering Department of the Ferretti Group (headed by engineer Piero Ferrari), with an exterior design by architect Filippo Salvetti and a new concept of interior design by Ideaeitalia.
New collaborations
The Ferretti Yachts 1000 is the shipyard's first 100% wide-hulled vessel, although it has the same exterior design as the recent models in the range. It has a sporty line, with side glass structures at the rear of the boat. The deck is made of teak and runs on all floors. It is also the first boat of the group to use a little carbon in the superstructure and on the roof.
The latest elegant and modern interior remains faithful to the nautical traditions of Ferretti Yachts' DNA. The interior spaces are very versatile thanks to a modular layout that offers owners many possibilities to create their own universe. Natural light floods in through the large glass panes, allowing a good view of the sea.
For the interior, the new designer Ideaeitalia has proposed two different interior atmospheres: classic with soft, traditional tones and subtle contrasts, and contemporary, with bold colours and more urban and modern influences.
Outdoor spaces connected to each other
The front beach has been redesigned with 40 m2 of living space, an area usually found on superyachts. There is a large saloon with direct access to the cockpit and bathing platform. A revolutionary concept that makes it easier to climb up when the bathing platform is submerged. There are three steps on each side that open when the platform is lowered, extending the cockpit stairs. Ferretti patented the design, which was entirely developed by the manufacturer's engineering department. On the starboard side, there is independent access to the garage, which can accommodate a Williams Sportjet 445 tender, a jet-ski and even 2 Seabobs.
A glass and steel railing surrounds the aft end of the large cockpit, where there are two large comfortable sofas and a central table that can be converted into a coffee table or dining table. The area can be completed with removable furniture.
Access to the flybridge is provided by two side staircases with a saloon aft, a dining area on the port side, a bar on the starboard side and a steering position forward. From the flybridge, you can easily reach the beautiful foredeck, a rather innovative layout.
A custom interior design
Inside, the large living room overlooks the sea, the kitchen is very large with 10 m2 of fully equipped space. On request the large windows in the living room can be opened on both sides.
An electric wall opening system reveals the bar and connects it to the dining room. Additional space can be arranged with a laundry and storage area next to the kitchen. It gives access to the crew quarters, where up to 5 people can reside. In addition to the large captain's cabin, there are also two double cabins on the main deck. This makes it suitable for family cruises as well as for charter.
The layout also includes an owner's cabin on the main deck and four large double cabins of the same size on the lower deck. It is possible to have separate beds in the two forward cabins. The main cabin has its own en-suite bathroom with exposed beam.
Fast on the water
The Ferretti Yachts 1000 has two MTU 16V 2000 M86 engines delivering 2638 mhp (optional), and reaches a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots (preliminary data). On request, the new yacht can be equipped with a gyroscopic stabilization system and stabilizing wings to keep her as quiet and comfortable as possible at anchor and on the waves.
