Pardo Endurance 60, a first trawler in Italian style

After its range of three Open Walkaroud Pardo Yachts, the Italian manufacturer Cantiere del Pardo is launching its first 18-metre trawler. The idea is to create a boat that can be sailed comfortably with a lot of autonomy, but also at a speed of 25 knots, while taking up the design that has made the success of the brand.

A range dedicated to travel

After the success of the Open walkaround range consisting of the Pardo 38 , Pardo 43 and Pardo 50 This first 18-metre model marks the launch of a new "Endurance" range whose concept is to revisit the trawler by combining it with the elegance of Pardo boats.

The name endurance symbolizes autonomy, duration over time, performance and safety, all with lower consumption. The idea is also to be able to sail as long as possible while enjoying maximum comfort.

The Endurance 60 will be able to sail without déjauger at 10/12 knots and to sail déjauger at 25 knots. For long distances, low-speed cruising is preferred to maximize comfort, improve fuel economy and reduce noise. To design this new boat, the Italian shipyard was able to count on the collaboration of Davide Leone for the naval architecture and hull lines and Nauta Design for the interior design.

Although the Endurance 60 is equipped with IPS propulsion (2 Volvo 700 HP or 2X800 HP as an option), it has already been optimised to receive new, less polluting engines in the future, such as a hybrid propulsion system, which will allow it to sail silently in port or at anchor.

Beautiful interior and exterior volumes

With a maximum width of 5 m, the shipyard has made the most of the master beam to maximise the interior volumes and optimise performance once the boat is off the water. For the interior design, Nauta - whose motorboat this is the first collaboration with Cantiere del Pardo - has opted for a fresh and bright decoration, with white lacquer and blond teak coatings.

On the main deck, tilting bulwarks provide additional space to the cockpit, creating a total area of 33 m2. The galley is located aft of the wheelhouse, with glass doors that can be opened to the side and accordion doors that can be opened aft to provide an outside bar. An electric bimini will protect the cockpit from the sun and will be able to remain deployed even when sailing. Finally, the hydraulic platform will be used for bathing as well as for storing the tender.

As on the Walkaround models, there is a large sunbathing area at the bow - protected by high bulwarks - and a large sunbed. The flybridge area is a great novelty for Pardo. The layout will be left to the owner's choice. The builder has deliberately chosen a low flybridge to keep the boat's centre of gravity low and to keep the aesthetics pure. It will be possible to install a sunbathing area, but also a second cockpit as well as a refrigerator area.

The U-shaped saloon with an opposite sofa is installed on the bow, raised to enjoy a panoramic view. The inner helm station has a side door for easy exit to the deck if needed. The front glazing has been designed to maximize visibility in bad weather as well as aesthetics.

Below deck, the builder opted for a classic layout with three cabins and three bathrooms. Emphasis is placed on the owner's cabin, characterized by its habitability, luminosity and storage space. Installed in the centre of the boat, it exploits the maximum width of the Endurance 60 with numerous fittings: dressing table, sofa and cupboards. The VIP cabin, positioned at the bow with private bathroom, is available in a double version: with a bed that can be divided into two single beds or a double bed, depending on the owner's needs. The third cabin has two generously sized single beds and a dedicated bathroom.

A crew cabin is positioned under the cockpit sundeck and offers two beds and a toilet, with direct access to the engines.
