Mercury FourStroke ProKicker, a backup engine for fishermen

Lightweight and with a high thrust, the new Mercury FourStroke ProKicker is an engine specially designed to operate at low drag speed and capable of pushing large boats.

Mercury has just released a specific version of its 15 HP engine. This 333-cc engine block equipped with electronic fuel injection already offers a high level of torque. This one has been reworked so that the propeller (which goes from 3 to 4 blades) offers the maximum thrust. This engine is intended for all fishing enthusiasts who are looking for maximum thrust without searching for maximum speed.

This thrust is also ideal for heavy boats. In the United States (but it is rarer on our coasts), we can find a ProKicker associated with a high-powered engine. The latter makes it possible to quickly get to the fishing grounds, the second one will be used for trolling once on site.

Special work has been done to facilitate the lifting of the engine with a vertical hydraulic system, as standard, quickly operable by the pilot, who does not have to bend over or make any effort to reach it. In addition, centering straps are automatically stretched and lock the outboard when raised, to protect the press bracket when the boat is moving fast and the engine is in the raised position.

This 9 and 15 hp engine is available in several versions, in two shaft lengths, with launcher or electric start, with remote control or with the ambidextrous tiller found on the other 15 and 20 hp of the FourStroke EFI series.
