Web series / Solitary anchorage in Antigua

Still without an engine, Hugo wins the splendid island of Barbuda. A delicate approach, but one that rewards a splendid anchorage.

Hugo continues on his way to Saint-Martin where he hopes to be able to repair the engine of his Écume de Mer. Still accompanied by his friend Romain, he leaves Antigua to reach the splendid anchorage of Barbuda.

This very flat island offers beautiful solitary anchorages to those who know how to approach it. Indeed, the island is defended by numerous barriers and beautiful coral heads. This is why it is preferable to arrive there with the sun on your back so as not to be dazzled and to be able to avoid them.

This manoeuvre is not complicated when you have an engine and can manoeuvre quickly. But it gets tricky when you have to manoeuvre under sail. Hugo places his friend at the bow to guide him and takes care of trimming the sails and steering.

This delicate arrival is rewarded with translucent water and a breathtaking show.
