Les Sables euros Horta euros Les Sables

"Generally, during the Les Sables Euros Horta, there are two races in the race: a first one to arrive in the Azores and a second one, in the islands, with, potentially, a new start there, announced Aymeric Chappellier before the start of the first leg. The sailor from La Rochelle didn't think he was saying that well when he set off last Sunday for the 1,270 miles of the first leg between Vendée and Faial. After leading a large part of the race and setting a high pace over the first three quarters of the course, the sailor, accompanied by Rodrigue Cabaz, finally gave up first place to the Volvo duo in the last 50 miles of the course.

The tandem Jonas Gerckens euros Benoît Hantzperg has indeed found a small mouse hole in the soft ground, between the islands, to take the lead of the fleet and never let go until the finish line.
