Web series / Royal Regatta of Cannes 2018 on France 1 for Hugo

Thanks to Hugo and his onboard camera, you will be able to experience the Régates Royales de Cannes on the 12-metre JI France 1 as if you were a crew member yourself. Pictures taken on the spot that show the difficulty to handle these big and heavy canvas sailboats.

In the previous episode, we followed Hugo as he embarked as a crew member on the 2018 Cannes Royal Regatta. After days of training, it's time for the races. The weather has been a bit capricious this year with sustained conditions that have blocked the boats in port for the first few days of racing and finally very soft conditions for the remaining 3 days of racing.

Thanks to his camera installed on his head, Hugo makes us live the manoeuvres and the phases of the regatta from the inside. Notably a recalcitrant spinnaker tangled in the forestay. Luckily the crew reacted and returned to the regatta game to finally finish on the podium.
