Brabus Shadow 500 Black OPS, a refined and powerful limited edition

The Brabus Shadow 500 Limited Edition

The Finnish Axopar shipyard and the Brabus Car car maker reveal their second successful collaboration, the Brabus Shadow 500 Black OPS, limited to only 28 units. But good news, this model will also be sold in its "standard" version through the new Brabus Marine brand.

After the successful launch of the Brabus Shadow 800, a luxurious 37-foot tender developed by Axopar and Brabus Car, produced in just 20 units, the two partners have just presented the Barbus Shadow 500, designed on the Axopar 28 hull - as the 800 was on the Axopar 37 hull - this refined 28-foot model combines performance and comfort for the day.

To design this new model - which will be available in two versions, a limited edition of 28 with a Gunmetal-Grey paint and a series with three different gel coat colours - the Finnish company Axopar has once again approached the Brabus Car car maker.

The latter receives carbon fibre reinforcement on the transom and monitors, as well as carbon additions on the dashboard and seats. It is equipped with the latest marine technology, such as the Intelligent Driving Module (ISM).

"The environment is sumptuous and superior to the Axopar models, because we use only the best equipment, the latest technologies and custom materials. Each boat is assembled with a handcrafted finish and layout." explains Mikael Strand, Business Unit Director of the Axopar site.

On the carbon fiber dashboard, a single 12-inch Garmin GPSMAP 8412 touch map plotter, but a second one can be installed.

The idea with the Brabus Shadow is to offer a fully equipped boat. For example, integrated flaps, bow thruster, audio controls, black-ti' Titanium coating on small objects such as hinges or latches. The result is an incredible high quality finish.

The Brabus Shadow 500 has attractive, angular and sporty lines with a long hull with a very low centre of gravity. "The Brabus Shadow represents a good compromise between a RIB and a cruise ship. It offers the stability of the first and the comfort of the second" explains Jan-Erik Viitala, co-founder of Axopar.

Several bridge versions are available: T-Top (like the exposed model), Open aft deck, or Day-Cruiser Aft-Cabin. As an option, in the cockpit protected by a large T-Top that also covers the cockpit for 3 people, there is an optional wet-bar system with integrated electric grill, top-loading sink and refrigerator, or a rear cabin, covered with a large padded sunbathing cushion or a cockpit left empty.

In the centre of the walk-around deck, there is a very large and well-protected steering station with four passenger seats in the rear, positioned just behind the pilot seats, like a car. The front seats turn to the rear and by installing a table you can enjoy a large lounge or dining area. At the front, there is a bench seat and backrests on the inside of the structure.

Supplied as standard on each version of the Shadow 500, a fully enclosed toilet compartment with electric toilet, fully covered with Brabus leather with a sink and a large mirror on the back wall. The space is important with a very high quality finish.

While aboard the Brabus Shadow 500 there are many practical and versatile spaces, as well as many comfort features for weekends with family or friends, adrenaline is also on the rise, with the two Mercury XS Pro V8s hanging from the transom. With 500 HP (2x250 HP), the boat reaches a speed of 50 knots.

The BRABUS Shadow 500 is available at 159?500 ? HT, engine included. It is available in three plain gelcoat colours, including platinum grey, white grey (available in May 2019) and light blue (available from September 2019). The limited edition is available at 209?500 ? HT with motors.
