Web series / Tandem sailing to Hugo in the Caribbean

Already that Hugo's Sea Foam is not big, but in addition he invites friends of the boats that anchor around him! This time he shares his conception of sailing on a small boat with Lucie who also sails in Guadeloupe. But like any adventure often ends with a competition, they are now challenging each other on a regatta designed for them.

What's more fun than walking around the Caribbean in your small boat? Meet friends who also have a small boat. At anchor in Les Saintes (Guadeloupe), I met Lucie who also sails on a boat almost the same length as my Sea Foam.

Probably because "people on small boats" (as other boaters often call us), we understand each other. We know what it's like to have a very small fridge (or no fridge at all), to have a very rikiki engine that is only started to get in and out of the harbour, but never to go upwind in front of the waves, what it's like to go shopping by paddle in a kayak, because a motor dinghy, well it's expensive and it takes up space..

And then when we've fished well, washed the dishes sitting on the rear platform, repaired an electric panel in one place and a sail in the other, well we think we can do like the big ones, and go and tease the adjustments and pull the plug between the islands in the form of a fraternal regatta.

So with Lucie we crossed swords, crossed a starting line, pulled the edges around the Saintes, before crossing the finish line.

But to know who won, you'll have to watch this last episode...
