A different pleasure boating practice
In Northern Europe, especially around the Baltic Sea, the water bodies are different, as is the weather. It is therefore only logical that Nordic boaters practice boating in a different way from the French. At the Boot in Düsseldorf, there are therefore picturesque boats that are perfectly suited to the programmes for which they are designed. Architectural conditions diverge to meet the needs of boaters and boats often certified in category C for sailing on the intracontinental sea, lakes, canals and rivers.
If the French sailing culture is very much inspired by Tabarly or Moitessier, the Nordic culture is much more pragmatic. The boat is a tool for life on board and nautical travel

Fifty of them
The frame of Eovolt bicycles is made of aluminium, the same one used on aircraft. Besides its weight, it is interesting when sailing, because aluminium does not rust. A small detail, this electric bike, which has a screen to manage the battery and the level of assistance, is also equipped with a USB plug to recharge your laptop while on the road. Fifty is a sailboat, but with which you sail and/or motor. Boaters do not buy this type of boat to sail, they have a pragmatic use of it. They sail when the conditions are right and the engine when they are wrong.
On the other hand, it is not always possible to sail in the canals. For example, wandering (dragging) is sometimes not even allowed. So to "move" from one body of water to another, sometimes long engine hours are required. And no motor boat will have the same range as a Fifty.
Daysailers
On inland water bodies, a cruiser is not of much interest. Unlike the Fifty, the dinghy allows you to sail for sailing. In a few minutes, we have prepared a boat and we can enjoy it for a few hours.
It is not a way of life, but a leisure activity that can be enjoyed by practicing a few hours of sailing during the day. In general, daysailers are small to medium-sized boats that are often transportable
Some more luxurious units - the Domani S30 or the Saffier Se 37 Lounge - have a cabin and comfort allowing overnight accommodation on board, but are not used for this purpose.
Automobile canoes
Motorboats are not sea boats, but lake or river boats. Given their certification and their very low design on the water, it must be sunny and hot to enjoy or drive. We find in the use of the canoe, a pleasure similar to that provided by the sports car or motorcycle.
It is a hedonistic practice, where we focus on aesthetics, visual emotion and historical references. Riva - the car dinghies of the 1960s - has always been a dream come true and shipyards are trying to renew this typical design.
An entire hall dedicated to powerboats
For the second year in a row, the Boot Düsseldorf devoted an entire hall (Hall 4) to the world of wakeboarding and water skiing.
Water sports are more likely to be practiced on the lake. In particular, these models capable of producing their own waves (Sea Ray, Glastron...) for wakesurfing or water skiing. We are addressing here a younger clientele than that of motorboats with colourful, very stylish models, which offer a lot of electronics (music, navigation screens...).
Contrary to the pleasure of the aesthetics of the motorboat, the boat is used here as a tool for sporting leisure.
