Take your breath, hold your breath and let it flow. Guillaume Nery, the freediver made famous by his images from the bottom, takes you with him on his dives. This book tells the story of a diver's career with a focus on 6 incredible dives.
Guillaume Néry, originally from Nice, is above all a nature lover. To meet her, he looks for the easiest way, with the minimum of accessories. Snorkeling quickly became essential for him. At 20 years old, he achieved record depths in apnea and then an accident, rising from a record of 109 m, put an end to this competitive career. With his wife Julie, he decides to put his dives in pictures.
It was the meeting with the photographer Franck Seguin that set everything in motion. With his sense of framing and light, he will stage the diver. Between them, with a lot of idea and creativity, they come up from the depths of breathtaking still images.
This book is a collection of these images with the story built between the two men. Surprisingly, there are not many air bubbles in this book. As if Guillaume Néry doesn't have any breathing problems underwater. Whether you are under the ice in Finland, in a cave in Mexico or on the backs of sperm whales in Polynesia, the photos in this beautiful book are all more surprising than the others.
