Le tour du monde de l'amour, an energizing 2-volume tale of love and romance

With the idea of a round-the-world tour of love, Dominique and Fabienne tell us the story of a sailing trip that lasted 4 years. It's a tale spiced up with naughty exchanges and burlesque adventures straight from the author's imagination. A beautiful story that shows that a trip around the world is always worthwhile.

Dominique and Fabienne have started their round-the-world trip on SeayoU, their Dufour 405. In the first volume, they recount their adventures from the start in Port Camargue to the passage through the Panama Canal. We find them ready to cross the Pacific at the start of this second volume.

Hustled by COVID

This cruise is about to be turned upside down by successive waves of COVID and the human madness that ensues. Isolated on their boat, the couple don't fully understand the directives and political choices of this very particular period. This pandemic will have a considerable impact on their stopovers, but fortunately never really immobilizes them. And so, year after year, they continued to make progress, reaching the Red Sea and ending up in the Mediterranean. After 4 years of long navigation, they have come full circle.

Nor an erotic short story

As with the first volume, Dominique's story is chiseled with humor and a generous dash of naughtiness. For form's sake, the captain and his first mate, who also holds the rank of captain, have decided to call their voyage "Tour du monde de l'amour". So, in addition to the physical love that is very often suggested, the author doesn't hesitate to see " love everywhere you look... "This gives the story an air of lightness that makes it particularly fluid to read.

A desire to leave

As in the first volume, we're critical of the lack of concrete facts to help readers choose their ports of call or supplies, just as there are no technical or material facts given. You have to use a QR code to access a Dropbox containing some information. On the other hand, access to a photo database via QR codes scattered throughout the pages is as pleasant to look at as ever, without breaking the reading rhythm.

These two volumes of Le Tour du Monde de l'Amour do a good job of making you want to set sail. It can be the seed that germinates, offering the will to cast off. The joy, pleasure and discovery recounted by this couple give them the energy to go further. Cruising is a means to an end, but the journey is worth it.
