A new great French trip for Hermione in 2019

The Freedom Frigate will undertake its 4th voyage in 2019 and will sail the coasts of northern France, from Normandy to Brittany. This trip called"Normandie Liberté" will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings.

A trip to Normandy

The Hermione will set sail again in 2019 on the theme "Normandy Liberty". After the Americas in 2015, Brittany in 2016 and the Mediterranean in 2018, the frigate of liberty will complete her tour of the ports of France by sailing the coasts of northern France. This trip will coincide with the 75th anniversary of the e anniversary of the Normandy landings, hence the name of the trip on the theme of freedom.

The Hermione will leave Rochefort on April 27, 2019 for its 4th e great journey, which will culminate in a stopover at the Armada in Rouen from June 7 to 16, 2019.

Several stops are already confirmed such as Cherbourg, Ouistreham, Saint-Nazaire/Nantes or Rouen and others are still to be confirmed such as Dieppe, Le Havre, Caudebec en Cauxâeuros¦ The ship will also make a passage in the Pays de la Loire region on the occasion of the event Débord de Loire.

The Rouen Armada, the highlight of the trip

The Rouen Armada is a maritime gathering of the world's largest sailing ships, and will take place from June 6 to 16, 2019. This event will bring together more than 30 tall ships, international military vessels, state and school sailing ships for its 30th anniversary. This Armada of Freedom will be marked by the ascent and descent of the Seine (on June 6 and 16) over 120 kilometers.
