After the rally course, it's time for the cruise, the real thing. The one where you take the time to walk around, to enjoy the landscapes and the people. But before that, you have to put your boat in order!
Remember, we had left Hugo arriving in the Canary Islands after a really eventful crossing from Gibraltar. A big wave even filled the cockpit and invaded part of the cabin. The soft top didn't resist and tore off.
The first step is to dress the wounds, clean, desalinate and repair. Hugo, as a good sailor, takes advantage of his stopover to put his sailboat back in shape before taking some time for himself.
Fortunately, the water is clear and shallow and he can undertake the repair by diving under the hull.
The visit to the Canary Islands begins with the Graciosa, then Fuerteventura. The rest of these stops will be reported in future episodes.
