The Dutch shipyard Zeelander Yachts, which unveiled its magnificent Zeelander 55 at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival, will launch a "convertible" version of the largest model in its range. Named Z55 Corniche, this 17-metre yacht should take up the characteristics of its "big" sister. More details unveiled in early May 2018.

At the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017, we had discovered the very beautiful and retro Zeelander Z55 . A 17-metre yacht with a retro look and rounded lines, reminiscent of a traditional lobster yacht (a typical Maine lobster fishing boat). This second model from the Dutch shipyard (in existence since 2002) was also the largest.

But Zeelander Yachts doesn't intend to stop there... In full development of a 66-foot (20 m) model, the shipyard also announces the launch of a Z55 Corniche. A "cabriolet" version of the Z55, but which will certainly have the same structure as its "big" sister. The motorization will probably be similar, with four possible options, and up to 2000 HP for a maximum speed of 43 knots. The same layout as the Z55 will be found on board, with a completely open cockpit/square area on the same level, with saloon, bar and galley and three cabins on the lower deck.

The Z55 in Cannes in 2017 for its world premiere

The Z55 Corniche owes its name to the seaside road that links Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat in France to Monaco. However, we will have to wait until the beginning of May, as indicated by the shipyard to obtain more information, as the latter does not wish to communicate on the Z55 Corniche for the moment.
