Pushed by the Wind: After the Canaries, always the Canaries...

We find Aurélien, Sarah and Nael in this vlog #15 of Poussé par le Vent... After the Canaries, well, our three adventurers are still in the Canaries, where the variety of islands and spots pushes them to extend their stay...

We find the crew of the Windthrust still in the Canary Islands. With its numerous islands and spots, there is so much to discover in the Canaries that Sarah and Aurélien have still not left... So we meet the parents of little Nael at the departure from Morro Jable, direction Gran Canaria to go windsurfing, but also to meet the family. First stage in Las Palmas after a superb navigation with ideal weather, but above all rain, a first for four months!

Rendezvous at the spot of Pozo Izquierdo, a place full of memories for Aurélien who did his best slaloms there in competitions with wind and small waves, conditions that are still there even after several years. Then we find Sarah and Aurélien visiting La Cruz de Tejeda with their family... Still in Las Palmas, the preparations on board Maloya continue in anticipation of the upcoming transatlantic race. And we're not just talking about the boat, as Sarah is delighted to unpack the long-awaited packages: their 2018 sliding equipment (Fanatic & North, their sponsors in board, SUP and windsurf).

Then comes the time to party on the pontoons before the departure to reach other horizons, but also to leave the place to the participants of the RCAF. We then head for the cliffs of Las Nieves, before heading for Tenerife and the Puerto Chicco Marina, where the crew will carry out some work on board Maloya before setting off again for the south of the island, La Gomera and El Hierro.

In Puerto Chicco, Sarah takes the opportunity to redo the security canister, necessary for their crossing, first to Cape Verde and then to Brazil. This safety canister will be used in case they are forced to abandon the boat for their life raft. A very emotional moment when it comes to preparing Nael's clothes. Who is becoming so tall and a walker that his parents have installed nets on the lines so that he can move around on the deck of Maloya as he pleases.
