Are you looking for the same boot as François Gabart's for his world tour? Would you like to keep your feet warm like the competitors in the Volvo Ocean Race? We have the solution: the Dubarry Crosshaven. This is the model used by offshore racers.

This waterproof but breathable boot is built on Dubarry's non-slip and non-marking sole. A model that evacuates water to ensure a perfect grip with the deck. This sole is used on the whole range of the brand's footwear and has been awarded a prize. For foot support, the Crosshaven boot is equipped with a hard plastic stiffener at the toe and heel. This D-Chassis (that's its name) provides stability for the foot and protection for the top of the boot when kneeling on deck.

The upper of the boot (the top of the foot) is made of full grain leather for comfort and flexibility. The upper is made of Cordura (a highly wear-resistant material). The waterproofness of the whole is guaranteed by the use of a breathable membrane of the Gore-Tex brand.

The particularity of the boot is its integrated gaiters. By slipping the wax over the upper and then covering it with the boot gaiter, a perfect seal is ensured. A water drainage system is provided between the upper and the gaiter (visible in red on the sides of the boot).

The thermal insulation has been very worked on this model. The Gore-Tex membrane that also provides the sealing is a 350 g Duratherm membrane at the stem and the kick. It is associated with a removable, thermally lined sole that guarantees total insulation of the boot.
This model of boot is probably the most extreme. The one that best protects the foot from humidity, cold and even shocks. While not all sailors circumnavigate the world via the 3 capes, many of them are sailing offshore in tricky conditions. Being well-equipped in these moments offers not only comfort, but also safety.
