It's amazing how a new model, with small changes in detail, can relegate the previous one to the rank of antiquity. This is what Dufour proves to us by announcing the 360 Grand Large .
This new 10-metre sailboat is an evolution of the 350, which was launched in 2014 and is a Umberto Felci design, with a bilge hull and L-shaped keel. For the 360, the hull and deck plan remain identical, but Dufour has integrated the new features that constitute the new identity of the yard. These are new features that we have seen in the 8 new boats launched over the past 3 years, with the Dufour 63 Exclusive in the lead.
A front window in the forward cabin
In the exterior design, Dufour has integrated a front window into the deckhouse. It is used to illuminate the front cabin and gives a forward view to this space. This seems like a small change, but gives a new vision of this owner's cabin by opening it to the outside.
A revisited deckhouse
On deck, behind the large panoramic window, the deckhouse receives a "halyard cover" that makes all manoeuvres under the deck disappear. This makes it brighter and frees up space for sitting and sunbathing. This polyester part incorporates a hood insert to store this accessory cleanly, which is now almost standard on all units sold.
An advanced descent
The descent panel has been shortened. This way the door is positioned further forward, closer to the mast. This makes it possible to eliminate the traditional guillotine door and replace it with a hinged door with 2 panels that have the space to be housed on each side once opened: as on much larger units!
On each side of the deckhouse, the 2 portholes that open into the cabins continue to provide light and a view of the outside of these spaces, which are often quite confined.
A redesigned cockpit
Much lighter, the steering consoles have been redesigned to clear the cockpit and facilitate traffic. The aft platform that unfolds at anchor is also huge and this cockpit now incorporates Dufour's famous signature exterior kitchen. Thus the crew has access to a plancha and a sink hidden under the rear seats.
Modernized woodwork and upholstery
As for the layout, this Dufour 360 Grand Large is available in 2 or 3 cabins. It benefits from all the new features and improvements made by the site. It is available in 3 wood species (Moabi, Oak or Teak) and has the luxury upholstery now available at Dufour.
