The French semi-rigid boat manufacturer Zodiac took the opportunity of the Grand Pavois to announce its partnership with Fiish, a specialist in innovative lures for sport fishing. Together, the two brands will use a Pro 7 Fishing to test specific fishing equipment and accessories and develop a Pêche range.

Zodiac wishes to develop a range specific to fishing. And to achieve this, what could be better than a partnership with professionals in the sector? The Grand Pavois lounge La Rochelle was the opportunity for the French semi-rigid manufacturer to confirm its collaboration with Fiish, manufacturer of innovative lures for sport fishing. The boat was visible on the pontoons of the show and participated, under the colors "Fiiish / Zodiac" for the no-kill Open competition of the Grand Pavois Fishing 2017.

Zodiac has provided the fishing specialist with a Pro 7 Fishing model, which will be used and tested by the Fiish team for one season. Zodiac's Pro range is delivered bare deck for custom configuration with several types of bolster, console or equipment. This model is therefore equipped to be perfectly functional for fishing and also has a livewell with seawater pump in the front trunk.

"We want to benefit from the visibility and credibility of a fisherman to develop a range of fishing specific equipment and increase our reputation among fishermen, explains Sébastien Grimaud, in charge of Zodiac's communication.

Zodiac's objective is therefore to develop fishing equipment and accessories in partnership with Fiish. This is already the case with the fishpond that equips the Pro 7 Fishing, which after being tested by the fishing team and already in production. The team is currently testing rod supports installed on the floats and dashboard, which has enough space to install many displays. A model that can be configured online on Zodiac's website.

"Zodiac already offered rod holders, but we now want to develop sports and marine equipment adapted to fishing" says Sébastien Grimaud.

The semi-rigid will therefore serve as a tool for Research & Development and will be used to study and test future products in real conditions and on a daily basis for both brands. We will find him on the Glénans Open.

"Who better than the inventor of the inflatable boat, who is also French like us, to help us develop our business and support us on the water on a daily basis" explains Julien Le Bouffo, Sales Director of Fiiish.

Other brands are also already partners in the adventure: Atelier Nautique de Kerollaire, Yamaha, Lowrance, McTechnologies, Sunway Remorques and Heny Lloyd.

Zodiac's new (upgraded) Pro 2017 range consists of 3 models: the 5.5 and the 7, while the Pro 6.5 is to come.
