Invictus Yacht launches the new HX range, a range of "rugged" boats, as the letter H implies, meaning "Hard". A range typified by sport and fishing, to meet the demand of the brand's customers. The first model in the range will be the 200 HX, a 6.1m, 2.4m wide, sporty open outboard hull available in a leisure or fishing version. "This new model will have the same deck layout as the 190 FX, but will be available in a fishing version and will be equipped with the 200 FX engine, namely 150 hp (compared to 115 hp for the 190 FX)" explains Morgan Ropars, Invictus France importer. The 200 HX will be a kind of 190 FX, but much more powerful.
The 200 HX is designed for yachtsmen who want a sporty and sturdy boat that is a bit of a racer. To qualify it, Invictus even uses the typically automotive expression "compact crossover". With a maximum engine power of 150 HP and a V-deep hull (inherited from open fishing) with good marine qualities - even in rough sea conditions - the 200 HX will reach a cruising speed of 20 knots and a maximum speed of 36 knots.
According to the first visuals, the interior will be sober and uncluttered, but designed with quality materials and meticulous finishes. The deck layout is created around the centre console equipped with a large windscreen and reinforced by a handrail that serves as a roll-bar. A leaning-post for two people precedes the console, which can also be sheltered by a t-top. A handrail runs along the entire length of the hull for safe movement on board. The bow sundeck houses a U-shaped bench seat with a bench attached to the centre console.
Finally, in the cockpit, the owner can choose a classic cockpit bench seat or a fishing station with bait box, livewell and rod holder.
With the 200 HX, Invictus seeks to appeal to customers who love fishing and sporty driving by offering an elegant model (leather upholstery, quality materials and finishes), whose style is reminiscent of the Italian shipyard. Several hull and upholstery colours are available. The first model of this new range will be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017, as well as its price.
