Web series / Pushed by the wind: the time for departure has come!

In this Vlog 7, it's time for our crew to leave for La Coruña (Spain) for the first part of their adventures. On the program of this video: emotion, night watches, seasickness (a lot! especially for Aurélien), but above all happiness!

It's May 17, 2017 and the crew of Driven by the Wind cast off from the Port d'Etel (Morbihan) under the whistles and applause of the relatives who came for the occasion, despite the rain. Even Mr. Mayor is present for the departure of the crew and gives Nael his first medal. The start is moving and tears run down the cheeks.

On board, we find Sarah, Aurélien and little Nael, who celebrated his 4 months a few days before. Direction La Coruña, and for the crossing of the Bay of Biscay, they will be accompanied by Ronan, Sarah's father at heart and godfather of Maloya, their boat.

And what a good idea since, despite the good humour and the joy of casting off for a voyage of several years, Aurélien didn't put up very well with his first days at sea, spending most of his time lying in his cabin at the bow (not great for seasickness), rather than on deck.

Sarah was also a bit ill, but was nevertheless able to keep watch and look after Nael, far from being indisposed by these first days at sea.

After 3 days at sea and 350 miles (650 km), our small group reached A Coruña, for the first part of their adventures.
