Neel Trimarans' missing link
With the launch at the Grande Motte 2017 multihull show of his new 51-foot trimaran the Neel shipyard in La Rochelle completes its range of boats and closes the gap between the Neel 45 and the Neel 65 . It now offers an alternative to the many 50-foot catamarans on three hulls.
The cockloon, half cockpit, half living room
The first striking feature of the boat when boarding, a large bay window separates the outer cockpit from the inner saloon. Composed of 5 elements, it allows to modulate the opening of the roof towards the outside until it disappears to create a unique space, the "cockloon", a concept patented by Neel. The crew and their guests can then gather in large numbers around two large tables.

Cabins on and under deck
Another particularity, offered by the width of the trimaran, is that a single-storey cabin shares the roof space with the galley and chart table. Thanks to its bay window, it offers a generous luminosity.

The side floats, accommodate a classic layout with each a double cabin and its bathroom.

The front of the central float also has a fourth double cab.

The rear of the central float houses the technical area, accessible from the saloon by a generous panel on a cylinder.
Sundeck
Next to the helm on starboard, the sundeck, with a bench seat and two large sunbathing areas, invites you to sunbathe, but watch your head because the boom is not far away!

If we haven't tested the boat, the yard is satisfied with its performance, with the speed stabilising at 10 knots from 15-18 knots of wind.
