The Alpha, the fastest motor boat in the world

The Alpha of SV Yachts

The Yacht Alpha, presented at the Miami Boat Show, presents itself as the world's fastest production motorboat, capable of reaching the speed of 80 knots. It is also the first boat of the SV Yachts brand, created by two partners in 2015, which wants to produce high performance luxury boats.

Alpha is an 11.71 m (38'5 ") yacht of the SV Yachts brand, founded by the two partners Nikolai Sass and Mauricio Antonio Vélez in 2015. The latter were looking to develop a very powerful, luxurious and easy to use production boat. The result is a speedboat concept that combines the beauty and soul of classic European and American boats and sports cars from the 1960s with the modern elements of today's superyachts.

Thanks to its 2 x 700 SCI (Mercury Racing), the Alpha gets the power of 1419 HP and is capable of reaching 80 knots (148 km/h) coupled with two M6 Sterndrive. But this performance does not make it any less comfortable and enjoyable to live with.

Propellers have been specially developed to cut through the water and ensure a gradual but rapid acceleration. Particular attention has been paid to the insulation of the engine, so that neither heat nor vibrations disturb the comfort of the sunbathing area covering it.

To cool the engine, SV Yachts has taken inspiration from supercars, so the Alpha has air intakes and ventilation slots that open as soon as the engine starts. To look even more like these racing cars on the road, this sea racing car has a very deep V-shaped hull, to cut the water without resistance, the stern is much wider, with a rather large bathing platform for the size and use of the boat.

The boat is currently in production in the United States and will cost more than $800,000. According to Antonio Velez, one of the two creators, it will soon be available for Europe and the Middle East.
