E+Lite 2, the Petzl mini headlamp returns in a supercharged version

Petzl e+Lite 2

Already well known and appreciated by sailors, the e+Lite comes out in a version with more powerful lighting. Without reducing the range or increasing the weight. A really surprising little headlamp.

The Pezl e+Lite headlamp was originally designed as an emergency headlamp. Small, lightweight, delivered in a plastic case, it can work even after 10 years of storage thanks to its 2 CR2032 batteries.

But this model is so powerful and pleasant to use that sailors use it as a full-fledged headlamp. During the last Volvo Race whole crews were equipped with it.

This model comes back in an improved version. The Petzl e+lite 2 is now equipped with an adjustable elastic headband and a whistle (integrated in the adjustment buckle). The previous model had this headband replaced by a retractable elastic band. The headband returns. Use will tell if it is a plus or not. The low weight of the lamp made the elastic band more than enough.

The lamp power has been increased to 50 lumens. The lighting can be fixed or flashing, white or red. Red is used to avoid being dazzled when you want to read an indication.

With its 2 batteries, this lamp offers an autonomy of 30 to 70 hours. All this in less than 27 grams! Waterproof IPX7 (-1 meter for 30 minutes), this e+Lite 2 will be perfect in a survival bag or in the pocket of an oilskin.
