After the release of the Frauscher 1017 GT in 2011, the open version was presented in 2012 under the name Lido. For the past five years, the model of less than 10 m has delighted even the most demanding owners. To give it a "young" look, Frauscher presents a new edition by German designer Thomas Rath.

The German shipyard Frauscher Boats has just unveiled a brand new design for its successful model, the 1017 Lido, a 9.99 m open hull. Numerous extras have been added to the 1017 Lido, giving it a touch of elegance and retro styling that contrasts with its ultra-modern exterior design. Seven boats will be redesigned by Thomas Rath and the first model was to be discovered in Düsseldorf. Located at the entrance to Hall 6, the boat was a real eye-catcher for visitors.

Just like the original model, the 1017 Lido Edition Thomas Rath combines comfort and performance. With two V8 engines (700 HP), the boat can reach speeds of up to 50 knots. But its high speed does not make it any less quiet and easy to drive and manoeuvre. The cockpit is spacious and comfortable with two large sunbathing areas at the stern and two transverse bench seats. The retro-look centre console has two pilot seats.

The leaning-post has also been redesigned and equipped with two coolers, a sink and two picnic baskets held by straps (for the retro look). There are also two additional storage areas with Thomas Rath glasses and sunscreen products. The toilet is located under the centre console seat.

The forward deck houses a saloon with a U-shaped bench seat and two tables. Sun awnings can shelter the forward and aft saloon.

In terms of colour, Thomas Rath opted for a sophisticated taupe enhanced by silver touches (notably the listeon). This design contrasts with Frauscher's usual modern design. The designer has also added his signature in the functional elements such as the equipment and accessories or in the mahogany steering wheel. The dashboard is also equipped with a leather smartphone compartment with connectors for loading. At the rear, the handrails are also covered in leather, a designer touch.

The declination does not stop there since the designer extends his concept to the bimini, but also to the protective cover, the towels or the key ring.
