Verve 40, the Italian walk-around to conquer the American market

Verve 40, walk-around model from the Azimut shipyard

The Italian shipyard Aziumt Yachts launches its first weekend, sporty and sophisticated at the same time. An American model in the Italian fashion embodied by the Verve 40.

A walk-around for the little cruise

The Verve 40 is a 42'95" (12.97 m) walk-around with a lower deck large enough to be a weekender. This speedboat combines all the typical features of the traditional American walk-around and day cruiser but the design is reminiscent of the shipyard's Italian origins. Even if the round bow slightly tarnishes the elegance and the sporty look of the boat, giving it heaviness, it is nevertheless necessary to gain interior space.

"More sophisticated than a walk-around, more elegant than a center console, more spacious than a day cruiser, the Azimut Verve 40, which made its debut at the Newport International Boat Show 2016, before being presented a few weeks later at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, marks Azimut Yachts' entry into the typically American walk-around sports segment. The Verve 40 stands out from the rest for its elegant style and spaciousness, with a spacious cabin that entitles it to be called a weekender" explains the construction site.

A fitted and protected cockpit

On the main deck, there is a cockpit arranged to be convivial with its three armchairs. In the cockpit, the bench seat located at the back of the pilot chairs moves forward and backward to join the rest of the saloon. With the electric folding table, the whole area becomes a spacious sunbathing area. This area is also equipped with a kitchenette with mobile bar, large refrigerator, ice maker, double barbecue and an optional wine cooler.

At the stern of the boat, a section of the planking opens outward on the port side to create a side platform with a built-in swim ladder.

A comfortable front area

On the foredeck, the large sundeck with reclining backrest ends in a bench seat, which itself faces another bench seat. Under the seats, there are large storage areas.

A sporty cockpit

The driving console is modern and inspired by car design. The instrumentation is fully digital, with no analog display. The pilot seats are comfortable and ergonomic to provide support and safety. A large hardtop fully protects the space, while a large windscreen protects the console from splashes. A skylight built into the hardtop opens to ventilate the boat. Finally, an electric bimini installed inside the hardtop folds out electrically to shade the cockpit.

A vast interior area

"Below deck is where the real innovation of Azimuth Verve 40 lies. The lower deck is one of the most interesting areas of this new model." details the construction site.

The Italian shipyard has managed to increase the free space available on board to create a truly comfortable weekend. There is a central saloon with dining room and galley, a spacious independent cabin at the bow and a shower room at the stern.

A powerful motorization

The Verve 40 is powered by three Mercury Verado 350 horsepower engines for a maximum speed of 44 knots and a cruising speed of 37 knots. Mercury Marine's optional joystick and skyhook system (digital anchor) are available.

Awards 660,307 euros ($730,000) with 783 kW / 1050 mHP MERCURY 3 x 350 OUTBOARD.
