If there was a motorboat to discover at the Grand Pavois 2016 it was indeed the Long Bay . Presented (still in prototype form) at the last Paris trade show (December 2015), this open hull sets itself apart from the competition.

Now built in 3 copies and well completed, this boat offers a chic and comfortable program. Its level of finish is quite different from the large production boats. No need to look for a visible joint plan. Although built with 24 molds (!), all the joints are taken up and finished by hand. This gives the boat an unusual presence.

Already its look and its worked forms with a very tuliped bow and frigate freeboards, classify the Long Bay in the field of the classic boats. The brightly colored gelcoat finish adds a chic touch. But above all, this boat is full of tricks.

An opening planking door
The port side planking, opposite the cockpit, opens to give access to the sea. A swim ladder unfolds at this point. This way, bathers who come back from swimming all wet don't have to go on the aft sunbathing platform. However, the rear platform is also very large and welcoming.

A concealed speedboat
You can't see the engine on the Long Bay. Not that it is an inboard engine, but the outboard is hidden under a hood. This cover has been sized so that the engine can be raised without having to open the cover.

Storage space for fenders
Taking out and securing the fenders at each harbor entrance, stowing them in boxes at each departure: boaters are familiar with these never pleasant moments of maneuvering. On the Long Bay, the fenders have places along the planks hidden behind the cushions. It's simple and practical: the fenders always remain attached to the handrails, but disappear behind the cushions.

Lots of storage space
With plenty of seating and sunbeds, the Long Bay is very well appointed. All these cushioned surfaces also hide numerous lockers for storing all the things on board. The choice of the outboard engine also frees up the rear hold.

No windshield
The steering console has no windscreen so that the overall look of the boat is not affected. Thus, nothing protrudes above the freeboard. If this bothers some people, a retractable windshield can be added to the console as an option. However, the Long Bay is not low to the water with a fairly high freeboard that protects the cockpit and reassures the boater.

An integrated awning
The front part of the boat, where the table is located (but which can also be used as a sunbathing area), can be covered by a stretched canvas. This is installed on 4 adjustable telescopic legs to follow the movements of the sun. When sailing, everything disappears into the freeboard.

A configurator to choose the color
The Long Bay is available in 9 gelcoat colors and 14 fabric finishes. The basic version has a white hull and a beige cushion fabric, but a configurator on the internet allows you to validate your color by changing the different shades. Ideal to realize the rendering.

A boat without concession
The Long Bay doesn't make many concessions. It remains true to its fundamentals: to make a boat for day trips that is very comfortable, but also very elegant. And isn't it wonderful to sail on a beautiful boat?
