Sea Ray took advantage of the Miami Boat Show to present its new 46.8-foot (14.22 m) motorboat, the Sea Ray 450 Sundancer, which completes the Sport Yachts/Yachts line. This range already consists of seven models: 400 Sundancer (40'), 400 Fly, 410 Sundancer, 470 Sundancer, 510 Sundancer, 510 Fly and 540 Sundance (54'9").
The 450 Sundancer is the latest model in the recent Sundancer line. The boat was designed to allow the owner to go on a short cruise with its rather comfortable interior and cockpit that easily connects to the salon. A glass door creates that outside/inside space that makes for one large room. When it is open, the two spaces communicate easily and when it is closed, only the central door opens to access the interior.
The cockpit is designed in a very clever way to take advantage of a maximum of space. The rear bench seat moves back and forth electrically (thanks to a wall-mounted control) to offer more or less space (40 cm more space). In the same way, the table unfolds or folds up depending on the number of guests. Each bench has a large storage space under the cushion.
The rear platform is a second outdoor space on the water to store the dinghy, to facilitate access to the water or even to make a barbecue thanks to the grill integrated in the transom with work surface and sink. At the front of the boat, a sunbathing area with adjustable cushions can be used to create a sort of deckchair, protected from the sun by an optional bimini.
Inside the boat, the equipped kitchen faces the cockpit and contains all the elements for a stay at sea (fridge, microwave, sinkâeuros¦). Behind, the living room is composed of a large L-shaped sofa (which can be transformed into an additional bed) with a coffee table and a smaller sofa in front. Family meals at the table are therefore taken in the cockpit since here, the living room is really a space of relaxation, with television.
Up front, the cockpit is comfortable, with two seats and a large dashboard that can accommodate all the equipment needed for a multi-day sail. This main deck space is fully glazed and an electrically operated sunroof provides plenty of light and ventilation inside the boat. You can also contemplate the sky from the bench seat for an evening at anchor.
Helm station
Below deck, there are two cabins or three cabins, as well as two bathrooms. In the standard version, the main cabin of the width of the boat is in the center with a large living area (sofa, dresser, televisionâeuros¦). Hull portholes bring light to the interior of the room. This large cabin can also be transformed into two double cabins. Finally, at the front of the boat, another double cabin is designed in a rather clever way since the bed can be transformed into a double bed or two single beds. You just have to rotate the beds on the outside.

The boat is equipped with two Cummins QSB 6.7 âeuros 550, Diesel V-Drive Inboards w/DTS, (T-526 php - 392 kW).
The 450 Sundancer is designed to provide all the comfort necessary for cruising and offers clever layouts. The interior is aesthetically pleasing and looks of good quality, however, the architect having privileged the space on board, the 450 Sundancer has a bulky hull, especially at the front and a profile a little heavy.
