Highfield presented at the Nautic its first 6.60 m model of numbered semi-rigid, specially designed for the Vendée Globe. In total, there are 42 ultra-high performance and design limited edition models, which can be purchased by the general public. Ten of them have already been sold at the Paris boat show, so don't wait any longer!

Highflied, builder of semi-rigid boats and aluminum-hulled tenders, has signed a partnership with the Vendée Globe organization for a limited edition fleet of 42 semi-rigid boats with an exclusive design, in order to organize the start and finish of the race in complete safety. "It's for the direction of the race" explains Matthieu Coulon, head of the Vendée Globe project.

On this occasion, the brand offers boaters to buy a boat specially designed for the Vendée Globe and numbered. "This is a really nice boat with a great price!" says Matthieu.

Owners who wish to purchase a limited edition Highfield Vendée Globe RIB will of course get it back after the end of the Vendée Globe, which starts on November 6, 2016.

The RIB has a new deep-V aluminum hull for better sea passage and new premium deck equipment. "We had a specification with a very high level of requirement, following the accidents that have taken place recently: a woman seriously injured by Spindrift 2 on the last stage of the Volvo Ocean Race in Lorient, a journalist killed by a semi-rigid at the Yachting Festival in Cannes, during a test, or Franck Cammas who was also seriously injured on his boatâeuros¦"

These boats will be available in three models:

The semi-rigid Highfield special Vendée Globe is in hypalon/neoprene Orca and has a large space on board for the greatest comfort of passengers. At the front there is a small bench seat, as well as another seat in front of the central console. The latter is equipped with a windscreen and a carbon dashboard with a steering wheel, but also a two-seater bolster (pilot and co-pilot) with handrail. Behind is a bench for 3 people and a roll bar with a wake/ski ring and a ladder.

The front trunk is compartmentalized and serves as an anchor locker and storage space. At the back there is also a large trunk.

For the engine, Highfield has partnered with Honda Marine, a pioneer in 4-stroke technology for outboard engines.
