For two years, Yvan Bourgnon lived the real adventure! On board his "louloute", the nickname given to his catamaran, he spent 220 days at sea and completed 20 stages, crossing 3 oceans and 13 seas.
This challenge is a bet with himself: to live the adventure of his life, alone in front of the sea, on a 50,000 km journey around the planet. On board, no electronic instrument, so he used his sextant to orient himself. On board his sport catamaran, Yvan had no shelter to protect himself from the dangers of the sea. The channel Voyage followed him in his adventure for a documentary collection of 4 episodes.

The first episode, "Facing the Elements", directed by Pierre Guyot, was previewed at the Nautic (Paris) on December 6, in the presence of the navigator. Since December 7, the Voyage channel has been broadcasting all the episodes every Monday at 9:30 pm.

From the beginning of his adventure, and throughout his journey, Yvan, equipped with several cameras, filmed himself to share his daily life in the middle of the ocean, his impressions, his relationship with his "louloute", his boat, but also his difficulties.
Yvan's World is also a beautiful story of will and courage. After a stopover in Bali, when he only had to cross the Indian Ocean to complete 80% of his journey, his adventure came to a halt in Sri Lanka, when he ran aground. His boat was caught in the waves and Yvan found himself ejected. As he managed to get back on board, his "girl" ran aground against the rocks.

He then organized a crowdfunding operation to repair his boat and leaves Sri Lanka aboard his "Louloute 2" in March 2015. . He finally joined Ouistreham last June.

All episodes will be rebroadcast in a special marathon on Monday, January 4, starting at 6:30 and 10:30 pm. They are 55 minutes each and here is the list:
Episode 1: Facing the Elements
Episode 2: Back to the roots
Episode 3: All the dangers
Episode 4: Mare Nostrum
