A beach car that reminds us of the Riva Tritone
Castagna presents here the Tender 2 version of the Fiat 500 Abarth. It is not at its first attempt since it had already been used in 2008, 2011, but also in 2014. To create his beach car, the bodybuilder was inspired by the Riva Tritone, the famous mahogany star of the Riva shipyard.
The hard roof has been replaced by a soft top and the bodywork cut out to remove the doors and make two entrances like on a boat. The colour used is white and turquoise blue, the leather seats are also in the colours of Tritone. Mahogany woodwork is found all over the car's body and interior and at the rear, the passenger seats and trunk have been transformed into a large "cockpit". To protect themselves, a wicker barrier closes the space. Finally, a place for champagne has been planned.
The Tender 2 is equipped with a stainless steel bimini that resists a speed of 160 km/h. It can be folded and placed in the rear trunk. The Missoni Home fabric hood can be used in both summer and winter, and protects against rain, wind and sun.
The underbody of the car is also made of this precious mahogany, undeniably reminiscent of the waterline of boats. On the side, the chrome air intakes are embedded in the mahogany. The finish of the glossy wood highlights the iridescent grain.
A car full of gadgets, yet hidden from the naked eye
To personalize the Tender 2, the bodybuilder chose "passion in kit" from his list. The rear seats are retractable and open thanks to an electric mechanism, activated in a tactile way. Below is a large 40-litre refrigerator capable of cooling to -20°C, ideal for storing ice cream
To climb into space and sit on its seat, a wooden walkway, like on yachts, is deployed to help children. A small shower is hidden in a compartment on the side of this "bath beach". Between the mahogany and the teak surface is also a safe to leave your precious jewellery when swimming.
The Tender 2 will probably be produced on demand and at a fairly elitist price, like the other models it has been able to produce.
