Team Brunel won the 7th leg of the Volvo Ocean Race arriving this morning in Lisbon at 7 hours 9 minutes and 49 seconds. This is their second winning leg since the start of the Volvo Ocean Race. Discover the finishing order of each team and the overall ranking.

MAPFRE was the second to cross the finish line in Lisbon at 7 hours 31 minutes and 39 seconds. " We are more than proud. It is a great stage for us, a very good result! We won this round the world race on time, because we prepared it in less than 12 months and we finish second here in Lisbon. It's very good. Brunel has sailed perfectly. There are two more legs and more points to take, we are ready! We had to get away from the high pressure, it was complicated. There were a lot of changes at the head of the fleet, a lot of variations in places and a big battle. And then, we flirted with the ice limit. We spent half the time watching the red line on the computer. Light wind, a long stage. We expected to have more wind. Team Brunel had a good speed. And finally, this finish in Lisbonâeuros¦ with no windâeuros¦ We were forced to really fight until the end." said Iker Martinez, the skipper of MAPFRE, upon his arrival in Portugal.

55 secondsâeuros¦ That's the time between the third and fourth place finishers in this ranking. And it is Team Alvimedica that takes the podium, at the expense of Dongfeng, which loses its place less than a minute apart. When they arrived in Lisbon in the early hours of the morning, Caudrelier and his men were still hoping to regain their 2nd place e place to MAPFRE, but the lack of wind, or rather the absence of it, made them powerless spectators. First Team Brunel, then MAPFRE and finally Team Alvimedica, which arrived at 8 hours 50 minutes and 49 seconds. This is the first time since the beginning of the race that the Chinese-French crew did not reach the podium. " We didn't expect to get caught up. We were supposed to hit the wind first and quickly increase our lead. But we hit a windless zone and for 6 hours, we saw our pursuers coming after us, the wind was behind us. They passed within a few meters of us and Brunel, with the help of a gust of wind, took off. They gained 7 miles in a few hours" explained Caudrelier upon arrival. After other setbacks with a shark, the team was unable to leave in such light winds. And to continue " I feel bad, I feel terrible. My team did a great job, but I was nervous this morning. So I made a mistakeâ?¦ Losing a place like that, letting a point go. We missed our chance on this stage.â The red and white boat arrived in Lisbon at 8 hours 51 minutes and 44 seconds.
