Imara, the future biggest yacht in the world?

Imara is a project of the agency Motion Code: Blue, which consists in transforming a tanker into a luxurious private yacht. With its 280 meters long, it would become the largest yacht in the world, a record currently held by Azzam.

Imara is none other than an oil tanker transformed into a luxury yacht, whose name is inspired by the "Emirates". This unusual project of a SuezMax tanker platform ( term used to designate tankers whose size allows them to pass through the Suez Canal but is too large for the Panama Canal ) of 280 meters long was invented by the design firm Motion Code: Blue. Imara is therefore the first pleasure ship, where luxury, modernism and elegance meet excessiveness. This pleasure ship is intended above all for owners who wish to show off their wealth and ambitions.

With its white and gold hull, the Imara plays on the color codes of purity and luxury. Depending on the owner's wishes, it can operate in an ecological way.

With a total length of 280 meters, a width of 57 meters and a total of 11 decks, Imara clearly seeks to revolutionize the codes of yachting.

An exterior design that recalls the codes of luxury

The idea is to keep the basic structure of the tanker by integrating a precious aesthetic combined with modern architectural elements. The elevated foredeck can accommodate 3 helicopter runways and two runways can be lowered to the hangar below. In total, the vessel can accommodate 5 helicopters, 2 in the hangar and 3 on the upper deck.

One of the main exterior features of the Imara is its large atrium located amidships, just above the floating garage and the beach club. It spans 4 decks and provides a view from every angle from the floating garage. The floating garage can accommodate tenders and water toys, which are easily accessed through 4 side hatches (2 on each side) of 15 meters each. 90-foot tenders can be anchored in this large floating garage.

Around the atrium are lounges, restaurants, several bars and stores. The main deck hosts a huge swimming pool with integrated bar and palm trees, and a 4-deck high waterfall flows around the atrium. On the large tower level, there is a guest deck with bars, lounges and dining area. The back terrace is exclusively dedicated to the owner with private pool, spa and lounge chairs.

To get around the ship's many decks, custom BMW i3 electric cars are used. Several elevators / lifting platforms serve the different decks and wide corridors allow vehicles to circulate. On the decks, many areas are equipped with solar panels to give an ecological dimension to this large tanker.

Breathtaking interior design

Inside the yacht, you can also drive an electric vehicle through large corridors. Each guest on board has his own garage located in front of his cabin. A private concierge service takes care of the cars when they are not in use by guests.

The upper decks of the tower house several apartments with beautiful private terraces. Two elevators and wide staircases allow access to all floors. The two upper decks are dedicated to the accommodation of the crew (officersâ?? quarters, captainâ??s quarterâ?¦) with a spacious deck on top of the tower.

The two side wings feature large sunbathing areas as well as bars and lounges with breathtaking views from 40 meters above the waterline.

In total, there are 8 VIP suites with floors, each with private terrace, floor-to-ceiling windows, private lounge and beach club. another 12 guest cabins are also available. The rooms have a 3-meter high ceiling, which gives a spacious, loft-like feel.

The owner's quarters are located above the floating garage in the central section of the hull and include private lounges, spas, indoor pool, fitness room, office, study room, library and art gallery. In addition to this area, the owner also has access to three apartments in the tower with private terrace and spa. A private access with elevator and stairs is provided.

Outstanding equipment for a yacht

Imara also has common areas for receptions, such as a large main hall of 40 x 50 m, a dining room for 100 people, a semi-outdoor art gallery, several restaurants and bars, a tea room, several stores, a shisha bar, a large gym facing the sea with an indoor tennis court, 4 large beach clubs with access to the sea, a cinema, theater and concert hall. The Imara also offers a rare activity on a yacht, 4 large ski slopes, accessed by a ski lift, and a chalet to rest after the effort.
