Rendez-vous in Paris at the European trade fairs Euromaritime and Eurowaterways

From February 3 to 5, two professional biennials dedicated to the European maritime and river economies will be held in Paris Porte de Versailles.

Euromaritime was created in 2013 and for this 2015 edition, Eurowaterways will bring a river dimension. The actors of these sectors, equipment producers, industrialists, experts, European policy makers and solution buyers will be gathered to discover and present the proposed actions on the future of blue growth in Europe. The actors will be able to exchange around round tables, workshops, conferences and focus on research and innovation, which is at the heart of these biennials.

Europe, bordered by 66,000 km of coastline, with an exclusive economic zone of 25 million km2 and the largest network of inland waterways (40,000 km), is counting on blue growth to boost the economy and create jobs. The oceans and waterways are full of potential that must be exploited in a sustainable manner.

This exhibition will therefore serve as a showcase to present the know-how and ambitions of European states, with the support of the French Maritime Cluster and Entreprendre pour le Fluvial. All sectors of activity will be represented: offshore, waterways development, shipbuilding, ocean energy, underwater exploration and mapping, training, transport, tourism, fisheries, financial and legal services, port industryâeuros¦

Many foreign players

Major foreign industrial groups will be present, notably from Scandinavia with Wärtsilä (FI), Vaisala (FI), Scania (SE), Trelleborg (SE) and Volvo (SE), from Germany with Ortlinghaus, Reintjes, Schottel GmbH and Vulkanet, and from the Netherlands with Vega Technique, VAN BEEST, De ZEEMAN Pro and IHC Hytecs, but also numerous innovative SMEs and research institutes such as IRT Jules Verne, institutions such as GEP, CORICAN and clusters such as Néopolia, Bretagne Pôle Naval and the Maritime Cluster of Luxembourg.

Some figures for 2013

In 2013, Euromaritime welcomed 180 exhibitors and more than 5,000 visitors. For this 2015 edition, we expect more than 1/3 more exhibitors (250) and some 8,000 visitors. Since its first edition, this biennial event has found its audience and has established itself in the landscape of French and European professionals and will be even more so thanks to the presence of the river offer.
