Barcelona World Race - News from the edge

This 1 ^era week of the Barcelona World Race is putting the eight tandems to the test due to a lack of windâ?¦ Before reaching the trade winds in the North of the Canaries, the boats are suffering from light winds and all are in the same boat. There are therefore two possible trajectories to try and get out of this situation quickly: cut as short as possible but risk being trapped by the calms or widen the radius of curvature and take a slightly longer route. For the moment, four IMOCA boats are in the lead, and Poujoulat Chimneys the most inside, is also the fastest. GAES Centros Auditivos progresses faster but on a path further from the goal.

For the moment, there are no big gaps created and therefore on the scale of a round the world trip, nothing is decided yet.
