This Saturday, December 13th at 9:25 am, Team Brunel arrived at the top of the ranking of this 2nd stage in Abu Dhabi.

The final was tight on this 2 ème This was already the case for the finish in Cape Town. In Abu Dhabi, Team Brunel finally won against Dongfeng, who arrived only 16 minutes and 20 seconds late. On this 5,200-mile course, the two rival teams often elbowed each other, with less than 10 miles between them, to take the lead of the fleet.

Charles Caudrelier, the skipper of Dongfeng, explains that he is a little disappointed "It was great to fight against Team Brunel. It was great last night but the last few hours this morning were terrible. They passed us and there was nothing we could do. They were going at a terrible speed. It's a bit tough, we thought we'd win the race. It was straight ahead, there was nothing left to do. We just had to go fast and they were faster than us. Congratulations to them! But in any case, it's been 10 days that we've been fighting each other and seeing each other. We've had a lot of fun."
