Quadrofoil, a fully electric hydrofoil jet ski

Quadrofoil, a visionary Slovenian company, has invented a brand new motorized marine vehicle, a cross between a jet-ski and a boat: the Quadrofoil. This small ecological revolution allows to fly on water thanks to a Hydrofoil system.

The Quadrofoil, a fully electric jet-ski with foils

The Quadrofoil is an all-electric hydrofoil marine vehicle, a hybrid between a jet-ski and a boat. This reinvented jet-ski flies on water thanks to the Hydrofoiling technology and allows an economical and ecological navigation. This new means of transportation is likely to revolutionize the world of boating. Equipped with two ergonomic seats, it allows you to stay dry during your flying sessions on the water. The cockpit is equipped with a touch screen that indicates the battery level and the consumption achieved.

On the water the Quadrofoil is quiet and produces no waves or fuel emissions. Designed to navigate on lakes and rivers, it is nevertheless ideal for sea navigation in protected marine areas, where most motorboats and jet skis are prohibited. It can reach a top speed of 21 knots (40 km/h) and has a range of 100 km (54 miles), and can be recharged in less than 2 hours.

A totally ecological marine vehicle

The Quadrofoil is totally environmentally friendly thanks to its electric propulsion system, outboard motor and steering system, custom developed. The C-Foil technology allows it to fly on water and reach speeds of 21 knots. Its buoyancy force lifts the vehicle out of the water, which greatly reduces drag and uses little engine power. Maintenance costs are also relatively low.

A fully secured jet-ski

With its patented steering system, the Quadrofoil provides a simple and enjoyable sailing experience. With a stabilization system that prevents drifting, the Quadrofoil is designed to be nearly unsinkable.

The Quadrofoil, available in two versions

A first limited edition series (the first 100 buyers will be able to enjoy it) will be delivered in March 2015. The Q2S Electric Limited Edition is already available for pre-order and costs 22,500 euros. The Q2A Electric, meanwhile, will be delivered in the second quarter of 2015 at a price of 15,000 euros.

The difference between these two models is in the engine and speed. The first one is equipped with a 5.5 kW QE motor, allowing a range of 100 km and a speed of 21 knots while the 2 ème is equipped with a 3.7 kW motor and allows a range of 50 km and a speed of 16 knots (30 km/h).
