Are you looking for the same boots that François Gabart wore on his round-the-world voyage? Would you like to keep your feet as warm as the competitors in the Volvo Ocean Race? We have the solution: the Crosshaven by Dubarry. This is, in fact, the model used by offshore sailors.

This waterproof yet breathable boot features Dubarry's non-slip, non-marking sole. This design wicks away water to ensure a perfect grip on the deck. This sole is used across the brand?s entire footwear line and has won an award. To support the foot, the Crosshaven boot features a hard plastic stiffener at the toe and heel. This D-Chassis (as it?s called) ensures foot stability and protects the upper part of the boot when kneeling on deck.

The upper part of the boot (the top of the foot) is made of full-grain leather for comfort and flexibility. The shaft is made of Cordura (a highly abrasion-resistant material). The boot?s waterproofing is ensured by a breathable Gore-Tex membrane.

The unique feature of this boot is its built-in gaiter. By pulling your raincoat over the boot shaft and then covering it with the gaiter, you ensure a perfect waterproof seal. A drainage system between the shaft and the gaiter is provided (shown in red on the sides of the boot).

A great deal of attention was paid to thermal insulation in this model. The Gore-Tex membrane, which also provides waterproofing, is a 350 g Duratherm membrane in the shaft and instep areas. It is paired with a removable, thermally lined insole that ensures the boot is fully insulated.
This boot model is undoubtedly the most extreme. It offers the best protection for the foot against moisture, cold, and even impacts. While not all boaters sail around the world via the Three Capes, many do sail on the high seas in challenging conditions. Being well-equipped in these situations offers not only comfort but also safety.
