NMEA 2000 data accessible remotely
Njord Cloud centralizes data on navigation, the engine, the electrical system, and the fuel tanks, as well as diagnostic information transmitted over the NMEA 2000 network. This data can be viewed in real time on board or remotely.
This feature is also designed for maintenance purposes. A technician can access network data to perform an initial diagnosis without physically boarding the boat. Different access levels are provided so that, for example, a shipyard can monitor multiple vessels without viewing their owners? personal information.
AI for Boat Maintenance and Diagnostics
The platform uses Gemini to analyze onboard data and supplement it with information on weather, tides, and ports of departure and arrival, among other factors. It can also create a predictive maintenance schedule based on engine hours, the type of boat, and its age.
A feature called AI Captain takes the form of a chatbot. Boaters can ask it questions?either verbally or in writing?about the condition of their boat, and the responses are generated based on the data available on board.
The system is based on the NjordLINK Plus unit, which connects directly to the boat?s NMEA network and is compatible with the leading brands of navigation and engine electronics. It connects to the cloud via Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, or Starlink. The NjordLINK Plus is priced at ?400 (excluding tax), with no need for an additional data plan.
