A design that keeps your ears clear
The Nautitalk Open transmits sound through bone conduction via the skull, without covering the ears. This allows the user to continue hearing alarms, announcements, nearby conversations, and sounds from the ship.
This design addresses the safety challenges encountered on board, where constant awareness of the acoustic environment is a critical factor during maneuvers and watch duty.
A mesh system for coordinating crews
The helmet features Sena's Mesh Intercom 3.0 technology, while remaining compatible with devices that use the Mesh 2.0 protocol.
In Open Mesh mode, six communication channels are available with a virtually unlimited number of participants. Group Mesh mode, on the other hand, allows up to 24 users to connect.
The advertised range is 200 meters in line of sight. This system complements traditional communication methods, such as VHF and MF/HF radios, to facilitate communication between the bridge, the deck, and other areas of the ship.
A microphone designed for noisy environments
The Nautitalk Open is equipped with a dual omnidirectional microphone designed to isolate the user's voice while reducing noise from wind, engines, or echoes. When not in use, the microphone can be folded back against the headset.
Connectivity is powered by Bluetooth 5.2. Software updates are performed wirelessly using the Sena Marine app, available on iOS and Android, which also allows you to quickly configure the helmet's various settings.
Equipment designed for professional use at sea
According to Navicom, the Nautitalk Open was designed to withstand the conditions encountered in a marine environment. Its UV-treated resin housing is IPX5-certified against water splashes and has undergone a 72-hour salt fog resistance test.
Weighing 41 g, the headset is designed to be worn during long shifts. It has a battery life of up to four hours of continuous mesh communication.
The device is compatible with the entire Sena Nautitalk line and comes with a two-year warranty. Voice prompts are available in twelve languages.
