Nautic Clean 24, a multi-cleaning solvent for on-board adhesives, tar and resins

When it comes to routine boat maintenance, some marks are long-lasting. Registration glue, pine resin, tar or grease often require a targeted product. Nautic Clean has now added a reference dedicated to this cleaning task.

Maintaining dead works, decks or superstructures often involves removing stubborn residues left by old markings, greasy dirt or parking under pine trees. This is the niche in which Nautic Clean 24, a new 250 ml bottle, is positioned.

A solvent designed for difficult stains

Presented as the brand's first solvent-based product, 24 is based on natural solvents. It is designed to dissolve glue stains, including old ones, but also resin, tar and grease encountered on board. One of the uses highlighted concerns traces left by old license plate adhesives. The product is also claimed to be effective on pine resins, a frequent case for boats stored ashore.

Formulation compatible with standard materials

The manufacturer claims dissolving and degreasing properties comparable to those of more conventional solvents, such as chlorinated solvents, dearomatized hydrocarbons or limonene. The 24 is also presented as having no hazard symbol, with a slow evaporation rate to give the product time to work. It also respects the materials commonly used on boats, without damaging treated surfaces.

Application is by impregnation on a microfiber, followed by a dwell time and then wiping with absorbent paper. However, the data sheet specifies that appropriate protective equipment must be worn. Technical data: colorless liquid, density approx. 0.83. Store hermetically sealed, away from heat and cold, in a ventilated area. Reference NC24ML-250, 250 ml pack, recommended retail price: 24.70 Âeuros incl. VAT.
