With this new course organized in Paimpol, Les Glénans is testing a format that combines nautical training and group situations on an island site.
Light sail training centered on the Glénans 5.70
We continue to use the Glénans 5.70, a collective dinghy designed for teaching purposes. Stable, with a reasonable sail area, it allows you to cover the basics without multiplying the risks. Trainees work on the fundamentals. Heading, sail trim, crew coordination, reading the water. Sailing is by the day, with a systematic return to base.
This format is suitable for beginners and intermediates alike. It allows you to go out one after the other and repeat maneuvers in a variety of conditions, typical of the Bréhat archipelago, with currents and coastal effects.
A game scenario to work on crew cohesion

The course is based on a werewolf-inspired game mechanic. Each participant is assigned a role, with objectives to be achieved over the course of the week. This system acts as a pedagogical lever. It encourages young people to observe, communicate and cooperate - skills that can be directly transposed on board.
The course is aimed at 12 to 14 year-olds, a pivotal age group. Youngsters are capable of understanding technical notions, but remain dependent on a structured framework.
A summer calendar adapted to sailing conditions

Four sessions are scheduled between June 27 and August 7, 2026.
This period corresponds to generally stable conditions, with moderate winds and temperatures compatible with a teenage audience.
All in all, this course offers a different approach to teaching sailing. Games are used as a support, but progress remains anchored in practice at sea.
