Spencer.club's ambition is to democratize sports sponsorship and transform support into a genuine experience. This French platform enables individuals and companies alike to directly finance a skipper or athlete via a clear contract, with rewards defined by the sportsperson themselves. After a year of legal structuring and a name change, the company is now looking to accelerate its development, both in France and internationally.
From traditional financing to shared experience, in partnership with Virtual Regatta on the Transat Café l'OR

Finding funding remains one of the major challenges facing sportspeople, particularly in sailing. That's why Spencer.club was born, a French sponsorship platform offering a different approach: enabling anyone âeuros individuals or companies âeuros to support an athlete by signing a genuine sponsorship contract, in exchange for a consideration defined by the athlete himself. As a partner of Virtual Regatta, the young company aims to put experience back at the heart of sports financing.
A year of structuring before launch
The project has not been a smooth ride. Its founders had to deal with numerous legal issues before stabilizing the model. After a year of work and discussion, the company even changed its name to clarify its positioning and secure its development. This maturing phase enabled a solid legal framework to be established around a seemingly simple idea: to democratize sponsorship.

Today, Spencer.club is positioned as an intermediation platform. It acts as a commercial agent for sportspeople, facilitating contact, contractualization and the structuring of partnerships.
Sponsorship open to all
The uniqueness of this model lies in its openness. Where sponsorship has traditionally been reserved for large corporations, Spencer.club allows anyone to become a sponsor. A private individual can support a skipper, as can an SME or a more structured company.
The way it works reverses the traditional logic: it's the athletes who propose the rewards and set the price. Visibility on a boat, exclusive content, meetings, immersive experiences, digital operations... each offer is built by the athlete according to his or her project and universe.
The platform then supports the signing of a clear sponsorship contract between the parties, securing the relationship and commitments.
Putting experience back at the center

More than just financing, Spencer takes an experiential approach. The idea is not simply to buy visibility, but to experience a sporting adventure alongside an athlete. This dimension takes on its full meaning in sailing, where the bond between skipper and community is particularly strong.
The partnership with Virtual Regatta is a logical step in this direction. By connecting real-world practice with the digital world of virtual racing, the platform creates bridges between athletes and committed communities.
Towards other sports and international markets
Sailing may be a natural area for development, but Spencer.club has no intention of limiting itself to it. The platform aims to open up to other sporting disciplines and gradually extend its model internationally.
Based in France, the company is already working on a stronger BtoC development, to facilitate access to sports sponsorship for private individuals. The objective is clear: to become a new gateway to athlete financing, based on technology and simplified contractualization.
A new way to finance sports projects
At a time when budgets are increasingly hard to come by, particularly in the middle classes and emerging projects, Spencer.club offers an alternative to traditional schemes. Acting as a commercial agent and trusted third party, the platform structures à la carte partnerships and widens the circle of possible supporters.
A way of modernizing sponsorship, making it more accessible, more flexible... and more participative.
