Designed for both short-handed and solo sailors, this model is clearly positioned in the long-distance performance cruiser segment. Developed in collaboration with J&J Design and naval architect Guillaume Verdier, the SixtyFive embodies the synthesis of IMOCA technological know-how and the elegance of an ocean cruiser. It is heralded as the ultimate ocean-going yacht, combining speed, stability and autonomy.
"The SixtyFive is the result of advanced simulation tools and single-handed ocean racing experience." says Jernej Jakopin, founder of J&J Design.

An ambitious renaissance
This relaunch comes just a few months after the Elan Group, now owned by Luxembourg-based KJK Sports, temporarily shut down the site. The ambition is clear: to start afresh on a solid footing, with a redesigned structure, a streamlined portfolio and a more upmarket positioning.
The SixtyFive opens this new page with solid arguments. With a displacement of 17 tons, including 6.5 tons for the keel, this carbon and fiberglass yacht aims for uncompromising performance. The design emphasizes ease of maneuvering, ergonomic deck layout, carbon rigging optimized for light air performance, and intelligent IMOCA-style self-steering.
A catalog geared towards the top end

The SixtyFive is just the beginning of a complete family of ocean-going models. Two new models have already been announced: 73- and 80-foot versions that will complete a range resolutely focused on fast, high-end, long-range cruising. All of which puts Elan Yachts on a par with the big names in expedition yachting.
Jeffrey Tirman, CEO of the Elan Group, is confident:
"This launch marks a new era, combining industrial precision, cutting-edge materials and exacting design standards. We're setting a new standard for ocean-going cruisers at the helm of their owners."
Bold design
Designed to perform in a wide range of conditions, the SixtyFive is capable of exceeding wind speed from 11 knots, and gliding from 14 knots, a feat for a cruiser of this size. The epoxy foam internal structure, sandwich bulkheads and lightened interior fittings ensure an excellent weight/performance ratio, while preserving comfort and sturdiness.
All rigging, fittings and appendages have been optimized to simplify sailing, especially single-handed. The keel, cut from a single block of HRO 774 steel, symbolizes this desire to combine technology and durability.
A brand relaunched on solid foundations

With this comeback, Elan Yachts aims not only to regain its place in the European nautical landscape, but also to make its mark on the world of ocean-going yachting on an international scale. Backed by a new modular platform, solid technological know-how and a culture of performance, the Slovenian brand intends to appeal to a clientele of demanding sailors in search of sensations, independence and top-of-the-range comfort.
