An exceptional track record

Fujicolor II was launched in 1990 under the name Velvia by Fujichrome, with Mike Birch as skipper. It quickly demonstrated its capabilities, finishing third in the Route du Rhum that same year. Under the name Fujicolor II, she won several prestigious races, including two Transat Anglaise races, in 1992 and 1996, with Loïck Peyron at the helm. She also won the Orma championship four times.
Evolution and transformation

Over the years, Fujicolor II has undergone several modifications to remain competitive. In 1992, a tilting wing mast was installed, and the deck layout was simplified. In 1993, foils were added to the floats, and the sail area was increased with a 165 m² mainsail, a 42 m² jib and a 190 m² gennaker. In 1998, the daggerboard was lengthened, and the mast became tiltable by 12° to windward.
