An exceptional collective effort
On Tuesday December 3, 2024, the Lafayette Anticipations Foundation in Paris hosted the second "Un Trésor à la Carte" auction. Under the hammer of Millon auctioneer Maître Nathalie Mangeot, ?129,000 was raised. This sum will go directly to three committed organizations: SOS Méditerranée, Navire Avenir and SNSM (Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer).
The sale was made possible by an impressive chain of solidarity. The artists sublimated nautical charts donated and autographed by sailors, transforming these technical documents into veritable works of art. Buyers, both in the room and online, showed remarkable enthusiasm, supported by the digital platforms Drouot Digital and Interenchères.

Unique works for a noble cause
The creations up for auction illustrated a meeting between the artistic world and the maritime universe. Each piece told a story, that of a sailor or an expedition, enriched by the artists' imagination. This original concept not only attracted collectors, but also raised public awareness of the reality of rescue at sea. Bruno Catalano, a renowned sculptor, contributed an emblematic work to the event.
An evening rich in emotion

Before the sale began, Thibaut Vauchel-Camus, navigator and sponsor of the event, delivered a poignant testimony on the importance of rescue missions. The President of SEAtizens.org, Jérémy Bertaud, praised the generosity of the participants: " Today, this collective commitment has resulted in a significant collection, but above all in a message of hope for all those who risk their lives at sea. "
Outlook for the future

On the strength of this success, the SEAtizens.org association aims to make this event a permanent fixture. As well as raising funds, the evening demonstrated the power of art to raise public awareness and mobilize resources for essential causes.
